How to Play Snake Evolved
🌀 Wrap-around walls: Unlike classic snake, the walls are portals! Glide off the right edge and reappear on the left. Exit the top and reappear at the bottom. The only way to die is by running into your own body.
Use arrow keys (or WASD) on desktop, or the D-pad / swipe on mobile to steer. Eat the glowing yellow food to grow longer and earn points. Every 5 food items, the snake speeds up and you reach a new level.
Special power-ups appear randomly on the board:
Teal — Speed boost: temporarily blazes faster for bonus points
Pink — Shrink: cuts your snake in half, giving you more room to manoeuvre
Purple — Double points: all food scores double for 10 seconds

What happens when I hit a wall?
Nothing! The snake wraps around and comes out the other side. Hit the right wall → appear on the left. Hit the top → appear at the bottom. Walls are portals, not barriers.
How do I die in this version?
The only way to lose is by steering the snake's head into its own body. As the snake grows longer this becomes increasingly tricky — especially near the edges where the wrap-around can catch you off guard.
How do I control the snake on mobile?
Swipe directly on the canvas in any direction, or use the D-pad buttons that appear below the game on mobile screens.
Does my score save?
Yes — your best score is saved in your browser's local storage and persists between sessions.
How do power-ups work?
Power-ups appear randomly after you eat food. They blink to signal they'll disappear soon — grab them before they vanish!
